Caxšebᵋwįga was born about 1832.
On the 1908 marriage license of her son Late Rave, her name was given as Cha-shep-be-we-ga, which is for Caxšebᵋwįga, "Eagle Woman", from caxšep, "eagle"; -wį-, a feminine gender infix; and -ga, a definite article suffix used in personal names. This should be an Eagle Clan name.
The marriage license of 29 May 1899 appears to give the name of another wife for James Rave: We-sha-wa-shap-he-wa-cha. However, this is almost certainly a highly garbled form of Wicawaxšebᵋwįga, which also means "Eagle Woman", and is from wicawaxšĕ́p, "eagle"; -wį-, a feminine gender infix; and -ga, a definite article suffix used in personal names.
